Introduce the practice to the kids with these upcoming workshop opportunities at Oasis!
Yoga supports regulation of emotions and teaches strategies to respond in healthy ways. This can help build confidence and encourage social interactions with a sense of kindness! Through mindfulness, the practice enhances focus and concentration for improving study skills, body awareness and other activities like sports and injury prevention. Regulation of sleep patterns and other healthy behaviors can take root so the kids can grow in with the art of compassion.
Mats are available free of charge. Please bring a water bottle and dress in clothes that allow movement! Attend one of the workshop dates and receive a special rate for our six week series in January!

Candis, the Holistic Alchemist, offers transformative sound baths that create a serene and healing environment. Her sessions are designed to promote deep relaxation and inner peace through the use of various sound instruments, including crystal singing bowls, chimes, and gongs. Each sound bath is a unique experience, blending soothing vibrations that resonate with the body and mind, allowing participants to release stress, heal emotional wounds, and connect with their inner selves.
Candis emphasizes a holistic approach, integrating elements of mindfulness and meditation into her practices. Participants often describe her sessions as both rejuvenating and enlightening, as they embark on a journey of self-discovery and healing. The calming atmosphere, combined with the therapeutic sounds, fosters a sense of community and connection among attendees, making each sound bath not just a personal experience, but a shared journey toward wellness.
Bring your mat, water, journal and any other items that will make you feel at home as you are guided to your Oasis.
Held seasonally on Saturdays at 10am. Next series start on February 1st!
Our Beginner's Yoga series is a great place to start if you are new to the practice, restarting or need to revisit the basics. In this 6-week progressive series you will visit foundations of both philosophy, breathwork, movement and meditation. Students will be introduced to the 8-limbed path of yoga and how to incorporate the principles both on and off the mat.
Each class will introduce segments of the seasonal Oasis flow that can be found in the Beginner's Yoga class (held the same day and time between each 6-week series), and the intermediate variation - Hot Oasis Yoga.
Each week postures will be added as we approach week six where a full 60-minute flow will be led. Students will also learn to incorporate blocks, blankets and other props into their practice.
This class may require sitting for 30-minutes at a time as well as twisting, flexion and extension of the spine, weight bearing on joints of the upper body and standing postures for balance.
Experience our signature seasonal workshop to build your practice towards other class offerings. For workshop to be held a six-class minimum is required. $120 per person. Registration is non-refundable 48 hours prior to first class start date.

This 8-week series explores pranayama techniques for presence, followed with a seated meditation and based on the seven main chakras.
Chakras are energy centers in the body that govern different organ systems and emotions within. When we retain patterns, emotions, life experiences and more, energetic blockages can occur causing things like fatigue, illness or other discomforts.
For seven of the weeks, we will focus on one of the energy centers of the body for a practice of observation and compassion.
> Week one: Intro to breathwork and meditation > Week two: Mulhadhara (Root) Chakra > Week three: Swadhisthana (Sacral) Chakra > Week four: Manipura (Solar Plexus) Chakra > Week five: Anahata (Heart) Chakra > Week six: Wisuddha (Throat) Chakra > Week seven: Ajna (Third Eye) Chakra > Week eight: Sahasrarar (Crown) Chakra
Come exercise the mind and learn stillness for peace in this safe studio container of self-study. Next series starts 9/28/24.
